Return to Sailing

Irish Sailing along with the Irish Coast Guard have confirmed the following for Sailing during Phase I & 2.

Under Phase 1 of the Roadmap to Recovery (commencing 18 May), people are permitted to engage in outdoor sporting and fitness activities on an individual basis.  Very small groups – a maximum of four people -  are also permitted to engage in outdoor sporting and fitness activity only where there is no physical contact and social distancing of 2 metres can be maintained.  However, you are not permitted to travel more than 5kms from your home until Phase 2 commences, which is currently scheduled to commence on 8 June.  Members of the public should use caution if engaged in water sports,  realising there are no lifeguards on the beaches, and many swimming spots are closed off to prevent gatherings, i.e. social distancing.

CSTC is currently working on a plan for returning to sailing and will update you on our progress. We are hoping if the advice still allows to introduce a return in Phase 3 29th June. The following document includes Irish Sailing Return to Sailing Phases. (May be subject to change on Government recommendations. Hope to see you on the water soon......CSTC Team
